मध्य प्रदेशात अनुसूचित जमातींची संख्या एकूण लोकसंख्येच्‍या २० टक्‍के आहे. तरी त्‍यांचं तिथलं जगणं मात्र सुरक्षित नाही. अनुसूचित जमातींवर होणार्‍या अत्‍याचारांची सर्वाधिक प्रकरणं या राज्‍यात नोंदवली जातात, आणि ही संख्या वाढतेच आहे
